Don’t miss the official start of Christmas on the Sunshine Coast with the annual lighting of the Hastings Street Christmas tree! The popular shopping destination of Noosa Heads will come to life with dazzling decorations, lights, and a magical festive atmosphere to welcome December. Come along for lots of street entertainment, great food, and a special visit from Santa. The event will take place on November 25 from 5.30 pm - make sure to come early for a good spot!

Moments from Noosa Heads, you can also enjoy a fantastic start to the Christmas season in Cooroy. The lighting of Cooroy’s gigantic Christmas tree will be held on December 1, and it’s the perfect start to the month. Cooroy’s Christmas tree has been called the most beautiful Christmas tree in the region, so it’s not to be missed! This exciting event will include lots of entertainment, man-made snow, a great choice of food, and a brilliant festive atmosphere. It’s also free!

The celebration won’t stop there as the following day on December 2 ‘Christmas in Cooroy’ takes over. The festivities begin with the Santa Sack Races, followed by The Noosa to Hinterland Plumbing Group Great Santa Race. After, don’t miss the Bendigo Bank Street Parade, and the East vs West Tug-of-War competition! Kids will be able to visit Santa Claus himself, as well as enjoy a great choice of free rides and attractions. There will also be lots of stalls and hot food to try! The day will end at 10 pm with a spectacular fireworks display. It’s the ideal family event to start the holiday season!

Keep the festivities alive on December 15-16 with the Noosa Chorale, as they celebrate their 10th anniversary of Christmas Wassail. Raise Christmas spirit with a marvellous mix of carols and festive food, taking place at The J Theatre in Noosa Heads.
